Artist of the Month

This month, we celebrate the work of Susan Ryde, an artist born on the island of Puerto Rico and raised in the south of England. Her artistic inspiration began with the vibrant flowers that surrounded her during her childhood in both Puerto Rico and England.

After settling in El Paso more than 40 years ago, she discovered additional inspiration in the beauty of the Franklin Mountains while mountain biking along their trails. She has donated original artwork to benefit fundraising efforts for El Paso Children’s Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, and Borderless Giving.

Susan will lead a Sip-n-Paint Workshop featuring fall pumpkins in all their glory. Join her on Saturday Oct. 17 from 1-4 pm. All supplies are provided and you’ll go home with your very own autumn art piece.
